WHERE IS MY LUGGAGE??!!TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2 2003 @ 10:16 AMI will never ever fly with American Airlines again if they do not offer a satisfactory solution to the irresponsable lost of one of our bags.
The biggest of my bags, containing the coolest things I was bringing from Peru and some important documents (not to mention my personal planner and some miniDV tapes), didn't make it to the JFK with me. American Airlines personnel didn't even know where it could have been sent! After talking to this people, I'm left with the feeling that sending extra weigth in different flights is a regular procedure for this airline. In the other hand, there is nobody checking luggage tickets when you leave the gate. SO, at this point, I don't know if my bag is taking sun baths in Aruba or if it was taken out by another person. Gotta call these guys... pittsburgh's airport by contrast: security is 1000% better, but faster than in boston. bag wait @ carosel... about 5 mins tops. logan sucks. RICARDO SALAZARSEPTEMBER 2 2003 @ 11:21 AMNot this year, but the last 2 years Iberia and Avianca lost my bag (same one).
Fortunately last year I got it next day and the other I got the same day (they bring it to home), so I though it was a damned bag. Here in Madrid is the same: there is nobody checking luggage tickets when you leave airport, so anybody can take your bag and leave. In Peru you have a guy checking that, so nobody can leave with your bag, at least in the airport of Lima the security is better I think. OSCAR TRELLESSEPTEMBER 2 2003 @ 01:07 PMRight, I was complaining about the airport in Lima, because I didn't find any improvements in customer service, but the security is definitely higher in that matter: nobody leaves the airport without their tickets checked, specially from international flights. I haven't traveled too much across the US, but here in the JFK each airline is responsible for the happenings inside their gates. Unfortunately for the customers, American Airlines doesn't have that 'service', that's what they told my wife.
