Two Real-time Data Visualization Tools

Just recently I started checking out Digg for aggregated content, and only a few minutes ago I noticed that they have put together not one, but two Flash applications that monitor story popularity and user behavior in real-time.

My favorite is the one that represent “diggers” swarming around news items, and is called – quite appropriately – “Swarm”. The other one has digg users falling on top of stories represented as stacks, and is called – yes, you got it – “Stack”.

They actually got me staring at the monitor for a while… but enough of that, time to sleep.
