QUICK TIP FOR FLASH ON FIREFOXMONDAY, FEBRUARY 28 2005 @ 04:42 PMEver since adopting Firefox as one of my primary browsers, I've been noticing a particular issue more and more. It happens when setting a Flash movie to stretch vertically along the available height of the browser window, the effect being that you can only see only a portion of the movie, if viewing it in Firefox.
To solve the problem, all you need to do is insert the following CSS portion into your style sheet or HTML document header: //1<\/div>
That's it, no sweat. ---- Update: Here is a follow-up post. So, the 100% height do not work. You have to remove the doctype and send the document to quark mode to get that working. Isn't your work-around the same as you are forcing the body to pull 100% vertically. For a strict doctypes, height is not even an attribute you can use.
MIKE BRITTONMARCH 1 2005 @ 01:08 PMI had the same problem. I removed the doctype at the top of the HTML and my fullscreen app was working fine in Firefox. Now I have to find a fix for the Mozilla scrolling issue!
