COMPUTER VS. HUMANMONDAY, DECEMBER 6 2004 @ 10:56 PMThe war is on, and we are losing it...
The way these numbers look, the possibility of a technological apocalypse or the "rise of the machines" might not be as unrealistic as one may think :) Seriously though, this is a clear picture of what our current focus is. As suggested by John Maeda, on a side note to the preface of his "Creative Code", "we all have to work a little harder". There, he presents comparative data from 2001 to 2003, regarding the number of results yielded by Google when searching for the words "human" and "computer". I just augmented the information with the most current results, and completed the graphic, which gives us a better look at the trend. No one writes about "humans" except scientists and freaks. Do a search for "people" and you will get 638 million hits. So "people" are still beating "computers".
-Alvin DAXXADDECEMBER 8 2004 @ 11:22 PMWell, only in case "Computer vs Human" was serious:
search for "games" and you will get 515 million. The next item will be "Games vs Human"? or something like "Love vs Hate"? (224 million vs 12 million, that mean Love is winnin?)... i still dont get it... |
