AT LAST, NEWS FROM FLASHEUROPE...

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 2005 @ 01:37 PM

I was just about to "officially" withdraw my participation in FlashEurope(for the second time), when I received an email from Craig Swann, a few minutes ago, announcing that he will be functioning "as Program Director and Speaker Liaison for FlashEurope". In the same message Craig informs that the new dates for the conference will be June 15th-17th, as it is also indicated in the new website they have put together.

I really hope the addition of Craig makes a difference in how the communications between the organizers and the participants has been (almost inexistent), and that they manage to make of FlashEurope a successful event, after all.

Right now, I'm not sure if I will be able to make it to the event on those dates. I certainly wasn't going to make it on the March dates, as I will be visiting Lima, but that's another story.

----
Update: I just want to make it clear that I won't be participating in Flash Europe. Sadly, it is looking more and more like is not going to happen. Unfortunately, there's no way to communicate with them and make my name dissapear from the list they have online. Again, I am no longer a speaker for that conference, I am in no way involved with the event or the organizers, and I am obviously on the side of the atendees on this, the community and everybody that supported the event in any way.

----
Update: To the light of new developments in the Flash Europe story, and from what I have gathered from al around, it seems like the whole thing has been a scam. Harold Polo and whoever else has been involved in the organization of this "conference" have deliberately used the names of renowned members of the Flash community to rob people that wanted to attend what looked like the best Flash conference ever.
