ACTIONSCRIPT LIVE REFERENCE

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 2003 @ 10:12 AM

Are you familiar with PHP.net's online manual? If your answer is yes, you have already experienced the goodness of a community-driven language reference, where entries for functions and objects are not only descriptive, but enriched with examples and comments from users. The idea of something like this for ActionScript has been out there for some time now, but nobody actually put it to the works, until some weeks ago.

The beta version of ActionScript.com's ActionScript Reference is up, running and looking for more contributors. So far, about 180 entries documenting different aspects of actionscripting fill in the Reference, including some undocumented features.

Question: how long until we see AS 2.0 features documented over there?
