I was just getting started with the copy Enter the Matrix I got on friday, when from all sudden the PS2 froze. First, I thought it was a defective copy of the game and restarted the console, but it wouldn’t even get past the splash window!
Called the store where I got my PS2, to find out about their return policy. Turns out that after 45 days, there’s nothing they can do and we have to talk directly with the manufacturer, in this case Sony.
So, after restarting the console n times (with a disk, without a disk, without TV…) while on the phone with a ‘technician’, and never getting more than the infamous frozen splash animation, the only thing left to do is send the machine back to them in Washington, and they won’t cover the shipping! After that, they said it would be about 15-20 days to have it back, bacause they are repairing it, not sending a new one. No, I didn’t misuse the console, it never fell down or anything like that… the only reason I can think of is lack of constant use. And it sucks that just now when I am starting a game I really like, it just breaks…
